The highlight shared in our Digital Annual report reflect a year defined by innovation, collaboration and achievement, whether on campus, in service to our county or across the region.
Rooted in our core values and strengthened by community support, we remain focused on redefining lives through the power of education and the pursuit of excellence.
There were 29,378 unduplicated students enrolled in credit and noncredit courses;
17,214 Credit Students;
12,797 Noncredit Students;
and 2,673 total students dually enrolled in high school and college courses.
For credit students only, there were 7,781 Caucasian students, or approximately 45% of credit students;
3,456 Black/African American students, or approximately 20% of credit students;
2,500 Hispanic/Latino students, or approximately 12% of credit students;
774 Asian students, or approximately 5% of credit students; and
3,153 Other/Multiracial students, or 18% of credit students.
1,690 students graduated with 1,970 degrees and certificates.
AACC added women’s golf to its varsity offerings. The program made its first NJCAA District Championship appearance in April of 2025.
The Athletics Strength and Conditioning Room opened, a dedicated training space for student-athletes.
The AACC women’s soccer team advanced to the NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championships.
Both women’s soccer and men’s golf were named NJCAA Region 20 Division II Champions – and second in a row for men’s golf!
Nearly $90,000 in athletic scholarships were secured and awarded to AACC’s student-athletes.
Anne Arundel Community College was ranked the Number 3 community college in the country by Intelligent.com.
AACC partnered with University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center and Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp. to create a series of professional pathway programs to address the nursing shortage across Maryland.
New Dental Hygiene Program | AACC will welcome its first ever cohort of dental hygiene students beginning in the fall of 2025.
A team of AACC students participated in the 2025 RockOn workshop at the Goddard Space Flight Center at the Wallops Island Flight Facility in Virginia. They worked with NASA experts to create a sounding rocket experiment from scratch and launched it into space!
INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine recognized AACC with the 2024 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.
One of AACC’s 2025 valedictorians, Tina Tinelli, was named an NJCAA All-American and College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American.
AACC joined the Maryland Transfer Intensive, launched by the Aspen Institute College Excellence Program and the Maryland Higher Education Commission. The Maryland Transfer Intensive is a statewide partnership focused on improving the transfer process for community college students.
Amaranth, AACC’s annual student journal of literature and the arts, celebrated the publication of its 50th edition.
The AACC Concert Choir and Chamber Singers traveled to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall during "An Eric Whitacre Holiday."
Net added income generated by Anne Arundel Community College operations and the spending of nonlocal students contributes $520.5 million in income to Anne Arundel County each year.
