Section Info: Annapolis Senior Center | Watercolors | No class May 19 | In this class, participants will learn foundational watercolor techniques while creating a new flower, landscape or painting each week. Each session focuses on one core watercolor skills, with step-by-step instruction and plenty of hands-on practice. The subject is pre-drawn on paper so participants can jump right into learning to paint. Participants will get to know their materials, how to make the most of them, and experiment with new ideas through different subjects, gaining both technical understanding and creative confidence. Note: Supply list will be provided on first day of class.

Section Info: Arnold Senior Center | One Stroke Painting | Explore one-stroke painting. This class is perfect for beginners and experienced students. Learn basic strokes like flat stroke, U-stroke, daisy stroke, bud stroke, tear drop stroke, easy petal strokes, shell strokes/wiggle strokes, leaf strokes as well as learning about the supplies needed. Discuss opportunities for marketing and sale of completed projects. Supplies needed for class will be discussed at the first session. It is recommended that students wait to purchase supplies. Section Info: Brooklyn Park Senior Center | Acrylics | In this class, students will learn skills to paint a variety of nature scenes on elements from nature including rocks, driftwood, oysters' shells, crab shells and more. Advanced and beginner students are welcome. Class is designed to be a relaxing and fun exploration of painting and art! The simplicity and meditative quality stem from Zen Buddhism and Taoism.
