CRE-912 ONLN-Chinese Calligraphy

Section Info: Online | Chinese Calligraphy | Chinese calligraphy is a refined art form with five main styles, from informal to elegant. Characters express balance, proportion, and rhythm through precise stroke order and spacing. Influenced by Zen Buddhism and Taoism, the practice is meditative. CRE-912 ONLN-Drawing

Section Info: Online | Drawing | Improve your drawing skills by learning basic visual tools like the rules of thumb, relational measurement, and simplified measuring systems. The course includes exercises to enhance your drawing abilities. Students can choose to draw posted images or their own selections, primarily using pencils and charcoal, with optional watercolor pastels. CRE-912 PASD-Acrylics

Section Info: Pasadena Senior Center | Acrylics | In this class, students will learn skills to paint a variety of nature scenes on elements from nature including rocks, driftwood, oysters shells, crab shells and more. Advanced and beginner students are welcome. Class is designed to be a relaxing and fun exploration of painting and art! Please come to the first session to see examples of painted elements and discuss supplies. Acrylic paints and brushes are required for this class. All nature elements will be provided by the instructor.

CRE-912 PASD-One Stroke Paint

Section Info: Pasadena Senior Center | One Stroke Painting | Designed for experienced students, this class deepens practice of One Stroke techniques including flat, U, daisy, bud, teardrop, petal, shell, and leaf strokes. Materials, marketing, and selling finished projects are also discussed. Supply needs are reviewed in the first session; purchasing beforehand is not recommended.
