Pre-Apprenticeship Carpentry Training Part A Learn to use the right tools for the job on entry-level carpentry skills. Explore job site safety concepts. Interpret construction drawings and written specifications in accordance with construction building codes. Learn use and handling of lumber, masonry, composite building materials, engineered building materials, fasteners, anchors and adhesives. Distinguish between flooring systems, components and methods for construction. Obtain OSHA General Construction and Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 certification. $1874 includes $674 fee. Corequisites: CIT-302 Pre-Apprenticeship Carpentry Training Part B, and NRN-332 Heartsaver CPR/First Aid. Note: Must be 18 or older to enroll. Cost includes instruction, textbook and supplies. There are additional costs for NRN-332, HeartSaver CPR/First Aid.
