Anne Arundel Community College’s Accounting programs will provide you with a strong foundation in tax, auditing, financial planning, forensic, governmental or managerial career paths. Accounting-based career paths are among the most in-demand and well-compensated in the professional world. At AACC, you will be taught by certified public accountants or professionals still working in the field. Your accounting courses can prepare you for transfer to a 4-year business school, establish a bookkeeping career right now or prepare you to sit for the CPA exam. Credit Certificates

The following certificates prepare students for employment and/or further study.

Financial Accounting (CPA)

Designed for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, our Financial Accounting certificate will prepare you to sit for the Maryland Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam. You’ll take a broad range of specialty accounting courses, with the ability to choose electives in marketing, management, business law and more.

Professional Bookkeeper

Acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to sit for the Professional Bookkeeper certification examination and to become a full-charge bookkeeper. You can also complete this certificate in only two terms.
