Our Health & Wellness Center is staffed by registered nurses who are here to help with your health and wellness needs. We provide the following services:
If you would like to speak with a nurse, call 410-777-2480 and leave a voicemail with your name, AACC ID number and a phone number for us to call you back (be sure your voicemail is set up). If you call during our normal business hours, we will respond to your call within one hour.
For medical emergencies call 911, or for mental health or substance use crisis call Mobile Crisis at 410-768-5522.

Don't feel well?
The Health & Wellness Center can help you make it through the day with free, over-the-counter medications like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, allergy, cough, cold and anti-diarrheal medications.
Can't make it to the store?
Grab-and-go items such as Band-Aids, condoms, safer sex supplies, cough drops and tampons are available for you either inside or outside the Health & Wellness Center.
The Anne Arundel County Department of Health provides HIV testing in the Health & Wellness Center. To inquire, stop by the center or give us a call at 410-777-2480.

We offer urine testing Monday through Wednesday if you need tests for gonorrhea or chlamydia.
Everybody's gotta go...
And sometimes you just need a little privacy! The Health & Wellness Center has a private, single-occupant restroom available to anyone on campus. Just stop in Student Union Room 120.
Are you a nursing mother?
For your comfort, the Health & Wellness Center coordinates private Lactation Rooms with chairs, a desk or small table and locking doors at AACC in Arnold, the Glen Burnie Town Center and AACC at Arundel Mills. To request access and coordinate scheduling, contact the Health & Wellness Center staff.
Need a different kind of test?
We offer free pregnancy test kits for you to grab inside of the Health & Wellness Center.

Know your numbers!
Measure, record, track and understand your weight, blood pressure and pulse. According to healthfinder.gov, one in three Americans has high blood pressure. Get your blood pressure checked regularly starting at age 18. While you're there, make sure to get your height, weight and waist measurement.
Stressed?
The Health & Wellness Center understands the impact of stress on both academic performance and physical health and offers 20- to 30-minute appointments in the StressLess Room, a private, softly lit room that features a heated, electric shiatsu massage chair, relaxation DVDs and CDs, stress management literature and more.

Anne Arundel Community College recognizes the individualized needs of students in recovery and those seeking recovery. The Substance Abuse Education Office, provides prevention, education and support for students and employees who are facing alcohol or drug-related concerns.
The Collegiate Recovery Center (CRC) in Student Union Room 217 is staffed by a peer support specialist who is available to inspire and encourage academic and social fulfillment.

Though the Health & Wellness Center does not provide students with health insurance, we do provide information to assist students in navigating various options for health insurance as well as resources for seeking low-cost healthcare in the area.

Maryland’s official health insurance marketplace is Maryland Health Connection. It is an avenue for exploring all of your options and learning about possible cost assistance.
