Making Learning Visible Through the Arts

We use the arts to deepen learning, strengthen engagement and advance student success across programs.

At the Arts Integration Hub, we use the arts as a method for learning — not a supplement. We design arts-based experiences across various areas of study that help students think critically, make connections and engage more deeply with course content. By making thinking visible, these approaches improve understanding, retention and engagement. Through collaborations, professional development and thought leadership, we serve as a creative learning hub for the college — an incubator for arts-integrated teaching and learning.

COLLABs

COLLABs are cross-disciplinary partnerships where the Arts Integration Hub works alongside faculty and instructional staff to integrate the arts into courses, deepening student learning and engagement.

Professional Development

The Arts Integration Hub offers dynamic professional development for both college faculty and county high school educators. Through hands-on, arts-based workshops, we model interdisciplinary teaching strategies that foster creativity, critical thinking and cross-curricular connections.

Thought Leadership

Arts integration in higher education is gaining momentum as a dynamic approach to teaching and learning, embedding creative practices across disciplines to foster innovation, deeper engagement and transdisciplinary thinking. The Arts Integration Hub contributes to this growing field through conference presentations, seminars and workshops that share research, case studies and best practices.
